South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), was set up in 1984 for promoting the accounting profession in the countries in South Asia and internationally with a mission to bring the accounting bodies in the region together at a common forum and facilitate professional cooperation in the areas of education, training, technical and ethical standards.

SAFA as a forum of professional accountancy bodies is committed to positioning, maintaining and developing the accountancy profession in South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) Region and ensuring its continued eminence in the world of accountancy; in the public interest and towards broad economic development of the region.

THEME

The semi-round visual element in the current SAFA logo is represented here as a complete circle. In the initial logo design, the circles displayed both above and below symbolize the globe and the interconnectedness of different entities. This design also highlights that every movement of the Earth follows precise calculations. Additionally, the colors of the flags of SAFA member countries have been used in forming the logo. Moreover, the letters of the word "SAFA" have been visually incorporated into the logo design.
